What does “subscribe to our podcast mean?“ Well, it is a fancy way of saying you can subscribe to our teachings using a “feed reader” like iTunes. Every time we upload new content (teachings in .mp3 format)  your “feed reader” will automatically download that content to your computer. Once the .mp3′s are downloaded onto your computer you can choose to simply listen to them directly from your computer or sync them to an iPod or another mp3 player of your choice.

“K… how do I subscribe to the podcast?“ Well, there are a number of ways and programs you can use to subscribe our podcast. First, you need to choose the program the best suites your needs. Here are a list of the most popular programs:

• iTunes (Mac, PC)
• Firefox (Linux, Mac, PC)
• Google Reader
• My Yahoo!
• Internet Explorer (PC)
• Safari (Mac, PC)

(We recommend using iTunes or Firefox. But the other options work great also.)

Second, you need to subscribe to our Podcast feed through the program you have chosen. Here’s how (iTunes & Firefox):

iTunes is by far the most popular feed reader on the market today. There is a very simple way to subscribe to our feed using iTunes:

1. Open iTunes
2. Select the “Advance” menu
3. Select the “Subscribe to Podcast” option
4. A screen will open asking you to enter a URL (website address)
   • Enter: http://calvarychapelsavinggrace.com/teachings/feed
   • Click OK

The Podcast will start downloading/syncing to your iTunes library. It will probably only download the latest episode to begin with but you can click on the “Get” button to select an older episode.

Once the teachings are in your iTunes library you can choose to sync them to your iPod as you would normally.

Firefox is one of the most popular web-browsers on the market today. And like any web-browser has a build in function that allows you to subscribe to any RSS Feed (a RSS Feed is always indicated by this logo:. Wherever you see this logo on a website or in the address bar (i.e. the address bar for this page) of a website it means that there is content on the page that you can subscribe to using a “Feed Reader” (like those mentioned above)). If you click on that logo it will take you to that sites “Feed” or “RSS” page.

OK… so here is how you subscribe to our Podcast using Firefox (or any web-browser for that matter. The exact procedure may very from browser to browser).

1. Click on any of the RSS Logos () on our website or click on this link – http://calvarychapelsavinggrace.com/teachings/feed.
2. A page will open and on the top will say, “Subscribe to this feed using:” and will have a drop-down menu.
3. In the drop-down menu you will see a list of options. The first will say “Live Bookmark.” If you select this it will create a new “bookmark” in your Firefox browser that will sync with our content every time you open Firefox.
   • Special Note #1 – Also, under the drop-down menu you will see other options like – Google, My Yahoo, etc… If you select those it will take you through the process of subscribing to our Podcast via those sites.
     
   • Special Note #2 – Also, under the drop-down menu you will see an option that says “Choose an Application or Program” there you can select any “Feed Reader” program… like iTunes for example.
